Dermatology Clinical Trials in Toronto

Dermatology is an ever-evolving science. Ongoing clinical research continues to expand our understanding of skin conditions and drive the development of new treatments designed to improve patient outcomes.

At FACET Dermatology, clinical trials are a core part of our commitment to evidence-based care. Through dermatologist-led research studies, eligible patients may have the opportunity to access investigational treatments while contributing to meaningful advancements in dermatology.

Current Trials

Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) is a chronic, inflammatory skin condition that causes painful lumps, abscesses, and tunnels (sinus tracts) to form beneath the skin, often in areas where friction and sweat occur, such as the underarms or groin.

Atopic Dermatitis

Atopic Dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that causes dryness, redness, itching, and irritation. It often begins in childhood but can persist or develop in adulthood, flaring up in response to triggers such as weather changes, stress, or allergens.

Advancing Dermatology Through Clinical Research

Clinical trials are essential to bringing new dermatologic treatments from research into real-world patient care. These studies involve volunteer participants who may receive investigational medications or devices under close medical supervision.

All dermatology clinical trials at FACET are conducted according to rigorous ethical and regulatory standards, with patient safety and informed consent as top priorities. Through these studies, researchers evaluate the safety, effectiveness, and potential benefits of emerging therapies for a wide range of skin conditions.

Led by Dr. Geeta Yadav, FACET Dermatology partners with Probity Medical Research, one of the most highly regarded clinical research organizations in Canada and the United States. This collaboration allows us to offer patients access to some of the most advanced investigational dermatology treatments currently in development.

Interested in Participating in a Clinical Trial?

Patients do not need a referral to inquire about participation in a dermatology clinical trial at FACET. Our research team is happy to review eligibility and answer questions directly.

Some patients may choose to be assessed medically by one of our board-certified dermatologists before clinical trial participation, particularly if they are seeking diagnosis, treatment planning, or medical care covered by OHIP. In these cases, we can guide patients to the appropriate medical dermatology services and referral information.
