Medical: Medical Dermatology refers to the treatment of skin, hair and nail diseases. These appointments require a referral from a family physician or other doctor. The assessment is covered by OHIP or your provincial insurance plan but the treatments may not if they are deemed to be cosmetic or aesthetic. Examples include, but are not limited to: mole and skin tag removal, acne treatment, skin cancer treatment etc.

Cosmetic: Cosmetic Dermatology refers to the treatment of cosmetic concerns that improve the appearance of the skin. Assessment for these concerns are done by our cosmetic consultant (complementary). All treatments are out of pocket expenses that are not covered by health insurance. Examples include, but are not limited to: Botox, laser & light treatments, facials, chemical peels etc.
