At FACET Dermatology, microneedling in Toronto activates your skin’s natural healing response to improve tone, texture, and firmness. Using the Eclipse MicroPen Elite, our providers create precise micro-channels that stimulate collagen and elastin, soften fine lines and acne scars, and enhance product absorption. Results are natural-looking with minimal downtime and are safe for most skin types, year-round.
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, uses fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries at the surface of the skin. These tiny channels trigger a repair response that increases collagen and elastin, helping skin look smoother, firmer, and more even. The treatment can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands, abdomen, and arms. Because the channels also enhance topical penetration, targeted serums and growth factor–rich products work more effectively after treatment.
How microneedling works
Your provider glides the Eclipse MicroPen across the skin to create uniform micro-channels. This prompts cellular turnover and new collagen formation while keeping surrounding tissue intact for a quicker recovery. Most patients describe a sandpapery sensation; topical numbing can be applied for added comfort. As the skin heals, texture refines, pores appear smaller, and discoloration gradually fades.
