FACET Dermatology
Facial Toronto
If you’re looking to achieve a glowing, healthy complexion, consider adding facials to your skincare routine.
Suitable for every skin type, our customizable facials at Facet Dermatology are designed to increase skin's hydration levels, improve the appearance of an uneven skin tone, and optimize the effects of your at-home skincare routine.
Performed by skilled medical aestheticians, this relaxing, luxurious treatment helps skin heal and deeply nourishes your complexion, while addressing your unique needs. The result is a glowing, healthy appearance with less noticeable fine lines and a more even tone.
Hydrating Facial Toronto
Our signature custom facial at FACET Dermatology is tailored to your unique skin needs. One of our most popular facials is our hydrating facial, which helps skin heal its moisture barrier, returns hydration back to an optimal level, and restores a healthy glow to the skin. When your skin is properly hydrated down to the deeper layers, many cosmetic concerns are alleviated. The redness of irritated skin fades, the fine lines of aging skin are plumped away, and skin appears more youthful, healthy, and refreshed overall.
Because many factors can impact our skin, every facial can be tailored to address your complexion's needs on any given day. Perhaps you need a facial treatment that delivers a deep exfoliation to improve the appearance of age spots and wrinkles, or a facial for acne prone skin that helps treat blemishes and kills bacteria. Whatever your skin's unique needs may be, our facial treatments can help make your complexion look its best.
How Our Facial Treatments Work
Our facials at Facet Dermatology are designed to restore balance in your skin while leaving it healthy and radiant. All of our facial treatments begin with cleansing (which feels like a facial massage!) and a gentle exfoliation to slough away dead skin cells, which cause dullness and an uneven skin tone. If needed, we may perform extractions, treating acne and blemishes to further help clarify pores and improve uneven texture.
In the case of our hydrating facial treatments, we then apply a premium masque to the skin to hydrate and firm. This step is followed by a serum targeted to your unique skin needs (in addition to hydrating your skin, we may use formulas with active ingredients to help improve the appearance of sun damage, such as age spots and brown spots), and a moisturizer.
Finally, we apply sunscreen to ensure your skin is protected as you return to your regular activities. Every step and medical-grade product used is personalized to your skin’s unique needs, and optimized to promote hydration and overall skin health.
Remember, the Facet Dermatology facial treatment is entirely customizable, so we can tailor it to your skin's unique needs, whether you have acne prone skin, oily skin, dry skin, or aging skin.

How many facials are needed?
We recommend scheduling a facial treatment every 4-6 weeks for ideal maintenance, or at the changing of the seasons. During seasonal shifts, you may notice a difference in your complexion — for example, you may experience more oily skin, dry skin, or sensitive skin as the weather changes. Facials, such as a hydrating facial treatment or clarifying facial, can help restore the moisture balance in your skin, helping to fade redness and rejuvenate your complexion for a healthy glow.
Is a facial right for you?
Everyone, regardless of skin type or tone, can benefit from regular facials to maintain clear, healthy, and radiant skin. For those who are looking to stave off dullness while achieving a luminous and vibrant complexion, the hydrating facial treatment at Facet Dermatology is the perfect pick. It nourishes at the cellular level, helping to plump up fine lines and wrinkles and restore a healthy glow to the skin. It suits nearly all skin types, including aging skin.

Recovery + Results
Immediately following a facial, your skin will look and feel noticeably smoother, and your skin tone will appear more even with less redness. Pores will be clearer and look smaller. Dry skin will feel softer and healthier, with a noticeable glow and faded fine lines and wrinkles, while oily skin will be more balanced. Your complexion will improve even further as treatments are regularly incorporated into your skincare routine.
There is minimal downtime following facials at Facet Dermatology. If you have had some extractions performed to purge pores and clarify skin, you may have some slight redness in the treated area, which will resolve in minutes to hours post-treatment. Whether you've experienced one of our hydrating facial treatments or another customized offering, you can leave our practice and go back to the office or to a special event with glowing skin and the confidence of knowing that you're putting your best face forward.
It is a known truth of cosmetic dermatology that the results of non-invasive treatments do not last as long as more aggressive procedures, especially if you only book one treatment. To get the best results from your facial treatment, you should book recurring treatments.
With regular facial treatments, you'll see a gradual transformation in the health of your skin, including the fading of unwanted lines, smoothing of wrinkles, shrinking of enlarged pores, improvement of acne, and a reduction in irritated red skin.
However, expect that the results of your facial will last about a month, depending on how well you care for your skin at home with at-home facial treatments using skin care formulas with active ingredients.
To make caring for your skin a regular habit, consider treating yourself to a DIY hydrating facial treatment every Sunday. It's a relaxing way to kick off the week and will help keep your pores clear, skin balanced, and complexion radiant. If you have more questions about how to do your own facials at home, talk to our team at Facet Dermatology. They'll be able to suggest techniques and recommend effective skin care products that will support the results of your treatments at our Toronto practice.
