Cryotherapy Treatment Toronto

Frequently asked questions about Cryotherapy

There is very little downtime associated with cryotherapy, though you may experience some pain and throbbing following your treatment. In the first 72 hours, it is normal for the treated areas to become red, swollen, and/or or blistered at the site of the freezing. As the healing process continues, a scab or crust may form, which will gradually fall off and heal fully over a period of one to four weeks.

The treated area may appear red as the skin heals post-treatment. As the treatment site heals, you may wash as normal, though you should avoid scrubbing, and gently pat dry. No bandages are required, but you can apply antibiotic ointment or Vaseline one to two times per day to promote healing.

Healing should be complete several weeks following treatment, at which point healthy new skin will replace the original lesion.

Cryotherapy is an effective solution for men and women seeking to permanently eliminate troubling lesions. Patients seeking cryotherapy should first consult an experienced dermatologist.

One cryotherapy treatment is often enough to permanently remove unwanted lesions, but some lesions may need to be treated more than once. Please contact us to arrange for follow-up if you require further treatment.
